Annual Dallas Business Journal survey of area employees reveals accounting firm is among the most satisfying places to work in the Metroplex
DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P., the Southwest’s largest independent regional accounting firm, has been named a “Best Place to Work in Dallas-Fort Worth” by the Dallas Business Journal. The firm ranked number 12 in the mid-sized company category. This is Weaver and Tidwell’s first time to be recognized as a Best Place to Work.
Each year, the Dallas Business Journal conducts a survey of employees from area companies to determine the best places to work in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The 2006 winners were announced today at a luncheon for honorees held at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center on Lake Grapevine. According to the publication, the rankings this year showed there are 72 North Texas companies worthy of recognition.
“In my opinion, this is one of the most significant honors a company can achieve because it reflects the feelings of our own staff, managers and partners,” said W.M. “Mack” Lawhon, Weaver and Tidwell’s CEO and managing partner. “We understand our people are our most valuable asset, and the firm is dedicated to providing a culture and work environment that makes our firm a great place to work.”
“I also believe that our reputation as a Best Place to Work will help us to continue to attract and retain the best and the brightest talent, a key component in delivering superior service to our clientele,” he continued.
The business journal’s Best Places to Work, now in its fourth year, has become one of the most sought-after, high-profile business awards in Texas. The award adds value to a company’s reputation and recognizes companies that make employee-satisfaction a priority.
