TSCPA Board of Directors
DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Alyssa G. Martin, CPA, of Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P., has been named to the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) Board of Directors. She will remain on the TSCPA Board of Trustees of the Accounting Education Foundation and on the Editorial Board of Today’s CPA magazine. She is also on the Strategic Planning and Partners in Education Committees of the Dallas chapter.
Martin serves as partner-in-charge of Weaver and Tidwell’s Risk Advisory Services as well as the firm’s Dallas executive partner. She has over18 years of experience in public accounting, including her role as partner overseeing internal audit, QARs, fraud prevention, IT audit, SAS 70, SOX and consulting. Martin joined Weaver and Tidwell in 1998 as a result of its merger with Hoffman, McBryde & Co., P.C. With offices in Dallas and Fort Worth, Weaver and Tidwell is ranked by Practical Accountant magazine as the Southwest’s largest regional independent accounting firm.
Martin is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas with a B.S. in business administration/accounting and a M.B.A. She is active in educational issues and the arts. A frequent author on Internal Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley and Section 404 topics
