7/20/2005 - Weaver and Tidwell’s Alyssa Martin Named to TSCPA Accounting Education Foundation
DALLAS-FORT WORTH, Texas -- Alyssa G. Martin of Weaver and Tidwell, LLP, has been named to the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) Accounting Education Foundation (AEF). With offices in Dallas and Fort Worth, Weaver and Tidwell is ranked by Practical Accountant magazine as the Southwest’s largest regional independent accounting firm.
A certified public accountant, Martin is partner-in-charge of Weaver and Tidwell’s Risk Assessment and Sarbanes-Oxley Solutions Group. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Dallas, where in 1996 she also earned a MBA with a specialization in taxation. She attended New York University to study specialized taxation issues. In addition to being a certified public accountant, Martin is a certified profit enhancement consultant (CPEC).
As a member of the AEF, Martin will help direct funding of student loans, faculty seminars, fellowships and academic excellence awards. The AEF strives to cultivate an awareness of the profession, provide financial support to deserving students, recognize outstanding performance and promote, develop and advance education and research relating to the practice of accountancy.
