7/28/2005 - René Stranghoner, Weaver and Tidwell Recognized for Excellence With AAM Marketing Achievement Awards
FORT WORTH, TEXAS -- Weaver and Tidwell, LLP, ranked by Practical Accountant magazine as the Southwest’s largest regional independent accounting firm, has been recognized for marketing excellence by the Association of Accounting Marketing (AAM). The firm has offices in both Dallas and Fort Worth.

At the organization’s annual conference in June, the local accounting firm received Marketing Achievement Awards in two categories of competition – “Firm Brochure” and “Sales Presentation” – and René Stranghoner, director of practice growth for Weaver and Tidwell, was awarded a personal honor as accounting industry marketing Rookie of the Year.

Stranghoner, who joined Weaver and Tidwell in 2003, has 10 years of experience in marketing and business development. She was honored for going the “extra mile” to ensure the success of her firm where she is responsible for managing business development efforts, lead generation programs, marketing communications, marketing and business development strategy, and service line marketing. Prior to joining Weaver and Tidwell, Stranghoner worked as a corporate strategic communications manager at a national architecture and engineering firm and also served as an international marketing manager at a global engineering firm.

In a year with a record-breaking number of entries, Weaver and Tidwell won AAM awards in two popular categories, “Sales Presentation” and “Firm Brochure.” The firm’s entry in the first category is a 32-page proposal written for a nonprofit organization. It features eye-catching, colorful images, straight-forward copy, and a clean, easy to follow layout. Its purpose is to educate the prospect about Weaver and Tidwell’s approach to performing audit engagement and the experience the firm brings to bear on clients’ businesses.

The second entry consists of industry-related brochures that are tailored to the firm’s primary markets including construction, healthcare, and others. With a striking green backdrop, the graphic treatment and copy make these brochures both interesting and user-friendly. This collateral system effectively extends the Weaver and Tidwell brand, and it has proven popular among the firm’s professionals.
