1/15/2008 - Sherry Taylor Joins Weaver and Tidwell as Human Resources Director

DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P., announces that Sherry L. Taylor has joined the firm as the director of Human Resources. With offices in Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, Weaver and Tidwell is ranked by Practical Accountant magazine as the Southwest’s largest regional independent accounting firm.

“Sherry’s history of working with large professional services organizations and partnerships makes her well-suited for Weaver and Tidwell,” said Jayna Bovre, Weaver and Tidwell’s Director of Operations. “ We look forward to having her experience to enhance our recruiting efforts, build our learning and development program and manage the overall human resource function.”

Taylor has more than 20 years of experience. She joins Weaver and Tidwell from Baron & Budd, PC where she served as the human resource manager developing and implementing all human resources initiatives. Previously she worked for Spherion’s Legal Division as the practice director managing the human resource function for outsourced professionals. She also worked at Jenkins & Gilchrist as a recruiter and at Merritt Hawkins & Associates as the HR manager/director.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business education from Texas Tech University and completed preparation courses to take the test to receive her Professional in Human Resources certification.
